Today, I’d like to continue en route of our last two newsletters on Naturopathic Tips for Coping with Coronavirus Stress with some new guidance on the importance of hydration, specifically common symptoms of dehydration that people mistake for illness… and which of our essences can you use in your water to enhance your stress defense, inner balance, overall health and wellness, mental focus…(etc.!)
I don’t know how many of you saw our post on our latest Essence: 2020 Gold™ Year of the Metal Rat (we prefer to think of him as gold)… but we explained that the Rat Year tends to highlight the “inner Oprah” in us all, and everyone may find themselves dishing on tips and morphing into “instant influencers”.
So at the risk of sounding like a Rat… Please know I only hope to inspire you, not influence you, as to the many healing essences at Shanti Kai™ and how they can help you strengthen your energy field during these times of increased stress.
It doesn’t have to be a miracle mile… a few small steps each day or as we like to say, a few drops of one of our essences coupled to even a tiny drop of conscious intention and you’ll be well on your way to making the shifts you need to be a “better you” in no time.
Water, The Essence of Life
Water is essential to life. The human body can survive several days without food, however, the same cannot be said for going without water*. Nonetheless, when most of us think about dehydration we conjure images of camels and deserts with no water in sight…
Symptoms of Dehydration
- Fatigue/ Low Energy
- Heavy Emotional State/ Depression/ Imbalance
- Skin Problems (i.e. eczema)
- Blood Pressure Problems (high and low)
- Constipation (or other problems with Elimination)
- Gastric Disorders (i.e. poor digestion, gas, bloating, pain, nausea, indigestion, and loss of appetite)
- Weight Gain/ Obesity
- Problems of Premature Aging (internal & external)
The type of dehydration most experts speak of however is not quite so dramatic, but it can have dire consequences all the same. The vast majority of the population does not realize they are suffering from dehydration.*
As a general rule of thumb, it is said that one should drink half their body weight in ounces on a daily basis.* During times of stress and increased pathogen risk, this may need to be increased in the name of prevention*
Factors Contributing to Dehydration:
- Alcohol/ Tobacco Consumption
- Stress (Physical, Mental, Emotional)
- Artificially Ventilated Homes, Offices, and Stores
- Overheated Spaces
- Air & Water Pollution
- Salty/ Rich Foods
Proper Hydration: this means water… and not in plastic containers!
A.Studies show plastic containers are linked to increased breast cancer rate; Drink filtered water in glass, stainless steel, copper, or other materials. Avoid plastics whenever possible.
B. Moreover studies link bottled water to obesity*. The short version sounds something like this:
Manufacturers use extra chlorine to purify fluorine and this can result in thyroid imbalance & weight gain.
In addition to following proper medical guidelines concerning hydration, we recommend adding the following Shanti Kai™ Master Essence drops for an easy way to boost your stress defense:
Echinacea and Noni: May help increase strength and protection under stress and assist with purging toxicity in lower chakras. May help increase perseverance, stamina, endurance, and strength during times of stress and challenge.
Hawaiian Coral Add Coral for energetically empowering your brain and mental focus. Tip: Shanti Kai™️ MercurEase™️, Hydrangea Master, Blue Ginger, Platimum, & Blue Diamond may also aid mental clarity.
Kyanite Master Add 5 to 7 drops to your sterile water bottle and sip throughout day for a spiritual detox; this may be ideal when you don’t know what’s wrong but something just “feels off.”
Black Tourmaline: Add Black Tourmaline Essence drops to strengthen your shield and detox negativity. May help clear blockages in lower chakras and help uplift emotions. Blockages in lower chakras can create imbalance downstream as a physical response.
Add Shungite Variation for detox and regeneration, Black Diamond for illness and convalescence, and detoxing toxins from the physical subtle body; Obsidian for clearing subconscious realms and lower three chakras of negativity.
